Top 10 New Songs: November 8, 2008

Some songs can dominate my Top 50 for months, as I rarely tire of hearing them, no matter their age. So, here, I rank my favorite new songs, not already 11+ weeks old on my Top 50 when they debut here. Unlike my Top 50, I retire songs from here once they chart 15 weeks. Furthermore, songs that fall from here may not re-enter once they have spent 11+ weeks on my Top 50.

Recurrents & "Oldies" (Current Chart: November 8, 2008)

Countless songs, old and new, have the power to move me, or at the least, entertain me or get me through a day; they can even do rare things such as inspire reflection on my past. So, I want to share some of those songs. About every 1-3 weeks or so, I'll chart my latest Top 20 Recurrents & "Oldies", which are songs ineligible for entry in my Weekly Top 50 (because they're too old or they completed their run already on there). Below are the first five songs. Note that this chart tends to be significantly more volatile than my regular Top 50.
